Our solid oak bench is the perfect bench for your home! From modern to contemporary to rustic, our beautiful solid bench is the perfect way to greet guests into your home. It makes a great bedroom bench to put at the foot of your bed. We start with a slab of beautiful oak milled in Pennsylvania, hand sand and finish it with a 0% VOC plant-based finish. You'll love seeing the beautiful dark grain permeate through the wood, showcasing the work mother nature slowly did over time.
Sizing:
Our benches are 14-16" wide, and we can make them from 24" up to 96" long. Each piece is around 1.25" thick, but can vary based on the length and piece we select for you. The height is around 18".
Assembly:
Some light assembly is required, but you'll only need a screwdriver. The legs ship separately, but we include all hardware needed to complete assembly.
Character:
Each piece is different, and has its own defects/uniqueness -- your piece can include character elements like wormholes, small cracks (sometimes filled with bow ties), spalting, knotholes, voids, and other unique parts to the oak bench. These are completely normal and in no way will affect the piece. If you have specific needs, please reach out to us before shipment as once the piece leaves our workshop, we can't change an item due to unique differences.
Shipping:
We aim to ship this item within 3-4 weeks of the order being placed from our PA workshop.

At Brick Mill Furniture, we source only top-quality hardwoods to create our furniture. Most of our wood comes from salvaged trees native to Pennsylvania which makes our furniture a sustainable option for your home.

Locally Sourced Wood
We aim to source as much of our wood as possible locally, supporting local mills and reducing our footprint. Much of our wood is made from salvaged and reclaimed trees, giving you a sustainable piece of furniture for your home or business.
how we create it
Each wood slab is dried through our state-of-the-art vacuum kiln. Traditional kilns only heat the outside of the wood, but our vacuum kiln dries from the inside out. Once dried, we use both a professional belt sander and a fine hand sander to make a beautiful flat surface for your piece. During the final stage, we apply a high quality 0% VOC plant-based finish that is toxic-free and made to last. Our hand finishes ensure an even distribution and smooth surface.
Hardware
We pre-drill any necessary holes for assembly and source strong and durable industrial hardware, all included with your purchase.
