Who is Brick Mill Co.?
Brick Mill Co. is a Pennsylvania-based family-owned business located on a former 1800s lumber mill. We are passionate about creating heirloom-quality bespoke furniture that can be passed on for generations to come. Here at Brick Mill Co., we sell custom live edge shelves, sofa tables, console tables, desks, and more.
If you feel that live edge furniture does not exactly suit your space, we also sell craft wood furniture and solid wood tables. What sets Brick Mill Co. furniture apart from others? We locally source as much of our materials as we can, from the initial live edge slab of wood to the high-quality hardware used to finish your furniture.
We carefully oversee our products every step of the way, often drying out the wood ourselves and carefully sealing it with a low to 0% VOC plant-based finish.
Our Live Edge Shelves are the perfect way to provide practical display and storage for all of life’s precious items and knick-knacks while immediately pulling together any home, office, or industrial space.
While our live edge wood shelves are currently available in various sizes, we welcome custom requests to fit your individual specifications. It’s important to us that our customers love our products as much as we do, and we strive to provide you with the perfect pieces to meet your needs.

Caring For Your Live Edge Shelves
Our Live Edge Shelves are finished with only the highest quality, low to 0% VOC plant-based finishes. There should be no need to ever refinish your Live Edge Shelves, and they will never require any sanding or additional work. If you wish to clean your Live Edge Shelves due to spills or dust accumulation, we recommend only using a wet cloth.
In the case that you require a cleaning product, natural soap should be used instead of harsh chemicals. We also recommend keeping your home at a natural humidity level and temperature to avoid drying out the wood.
Will brackets and hardware be included with my Live Edge Shelf?
Yes! We provide everything you need so you’ll be able to hang your floating shelf with no difficulty. Our high-quality hardware is all locally sourced and made in the USA.
Our brackets contain multiple holes, so you can ensure that you hit at least one stud when attaching your floating shelf to the wall. Plus, the bracket is pre-drilled into your Live Edge Shelf, making the installation process even easier. Each shelf supports 50 lbs for each stud hit.
What tools will I need to install my Live Edge Shelf?
Why we supply all hardware needed, you will need your own additional tools to install your Live Edge Shelf. We recommend a drill or screwdriver, a level, a stud finder, and a measuring tape.
How high should I install my Live Edge Shelf from the floor?
We recommend installing your Live Edge Wood Shelf 60” from the floor or eye-level distance. This is, of course, entirely up to you, and you can hang your Live Edge Shelves higher or lower according to your preference.
How many Live Edge shelves come in one order?
The price of our Live Edge Shelves is for one individual shelf. Please select the number of shelves you require at checkout.
What happens if I receive my Live Edge Shelf and I require a different size?
If you have received your Live Edge Wood Shelf and realized that it does not work for your space, please reach out to us. We accept returns within 30 days of receipt, with the customer paying return shipping fees.
