Our solid maple floating shelves are the perfect shelves for your home! From modern to contemporary to rustic, our solid wood shelves are the perfect way to create warmth and uniqueness in your home. We start with a slab of beautiful maple milled in Pennsylvania, and hand sand and finish it with a 0% VOC plant-based finish. You'll love seeing the beautiful dark grain permeate through the wood, showcasing the work mother nature slowly did over time.
We also include the hanging hardware, so you just need to screw the hardware into the wall and slide the shelves into place.
Sizing:
Our shelves come in a variety of widths, and we can make them from 12" up to 96" long. Each piece is around 1.75-2" thick, but can vary based on the length and piece we select for you. Need a larger size or a different type of wood? Reach out and we'll make one custom for you!
Assembly:
Some light assembly is required, a drill, screwdriver, and level to install properly. The hardware comes pre-drilled into the back of the shelf, so all you need to do is hang the bracket on the wall and the shelf will slide onto the pegs.
Character:
Each piece is different, and has its own defects/uniqueness -- your piece can include character elements like wormholes, small cracks (sometimes filled with bow ties), spalting, knotholes, voids, and other unique parts to the shelf. These are completely normal and in no way will affect the piece. If you have specific needs, please reach out to us before shipment as once the piece leaves our workshop, we can't change an item due to unique differences.
Shipping:
We aim to ship all shelves within 1 - 2 weeks of the order being placed from our PA workshop. Simply select your size and quantity, and we'll handmake you a one-of-a-kind piece of art to use as your shelves!

We aim to source as much of our wood as possible locally, supporting local mills and reducing our footprint. Much of our wood is made from salvaged and reclaimed trees, giving you a sustainable piece of furniture for your home or business.
how we create it
Each wood slab is dried through our state-of-the-art vacuum kiln. Traditional kilns only heat the outside of the wood, but our vacuum kiln dries from the inside out. Once dried, we use both a professional belt sander and a fine hand sander to make a beautiful flat surface for your piece. During the final stage, we apply a high quality 0% VOC plant-based finish that is toxic-free and made to last. Our hand finishes ensure an even distribution and smooth surface.

We pre-drill any necessary holes for assembly and source strong and durable industrial hardware, all included with your purchase.
