Important — Before the Driver Leaves

Inspect Your Furniture

Please inspect your shipment carefully when it arrives. Look for visible signs of damage to the furniture or packaging and document any concerns before the driver leaves whenever possible. Take clear photos and note visible damage on the delivery paperwork before signing.

1

Inspect the Shipment Before Signing

Before the driver leaves, inspect the wooden crate and all visible areas of the shipment. Look for dents, broken or displaced boards, punctures, crushed areas, exposed furniture, or other signs that damage may have occurred during transit.

2

Document Any Visible Damage

If you notice damage or anything that concerns you, describe it specifically on the delivery paperwork before signing. Take clear photographs of the affected area, the crate, and the overall shipment while the driver is still present.

3

Uncrate Your Furniture Carefully

After delivery, carefully remove your furniture from its wooden crate. Take care when removing boards, fasteners, protective materials, and packaging around the furniture. Damage caused while moving, handling, unpacking, or removing the furniture from its crate is the customer's responsibility and is not considered delivery damage.

4

Contact Brick Mill Furniture

If you discover damage that you believe occurred during transit, contact our team as soon as possible. Provide clear photographs of the furniture, crate, packaging, and any visible damage, along with a copy of the signed delivery paperwork so our team can review the issue and determine the appropriate next steps.

Document visible delivery damage before the driver leaves. Visible damage to the crate or shipment should be noted on the delivery paperwork before signing. Brick Mill Furniture is not responsible for damage caused after delivery while moving, handling, unpacking, uncrating, or assembling your furniture.
Frequently Asked Questions

Curbside Delivery FAQs

What is Curbside Delivery?

Curbside Delivery is an unassisted delivery service. Your furniture will be unloaded at an accessible exterior location at your property. Curbside Delivery does not include bringing furniture inside your home, room-of-choice placement, or assembly.

Where will my furniture be delivered?

Your furniture will be unloaded at an accessible exterior location at your property. The exact unloading location may depend on property access, roadway conditions, the delivery vehicle, and the driver's ability to safely reach and unload at your property.

Will the driver bring my furniture inside?

No. Curbside Delivery does not include moving furniture inside your home. You are responsible for moving your furniture from the curbside delivery location into your home.

Does Curbside Delivery include assembly?

No. Assembly is not included with Curbside Delivery. You are responsible for moving your furniture into your home and completing any required assembly.

How many people should I have available?

Solid hardwood furniture can be extremely heavy. We strongly recommend arranging enough capable assistance to safely move your furniture from the delivery location into your home. The number of people required will depend on the size and weight of your furniture and the access to your home.

How will I know when my furniture is arriving?

Once your furniture has completed production and is prepared for shipment, you will receive delivery or tracking information as applicable to the carrier handling your order.

What if I cannot move the furniture myself?

If you need assistance bringing your furniture inside your home, Curbside Delivery may not be the appropriate delivery method for your order. Please contact our team to ask whether your order is eligible for White Glove Delivery.

What should I do if my furniture arrives damaged?

Inspect your shipment carefully when it arrives. Note any visible damage or concerns on the delivery paperwork before signing whenever possible, take clear photos of the furniture and packaging, and contact Brick Mill Furniture as soon as possible. Unless Brick Mill Furniture has specifically instructed you otherwise, accept and keep the furniture so our team can help determine the appropriate next steps.

How We Resolve Documented Damage?

In the rare instance that damage is properly documented, we will make it right. Brick Mill Furniture determines the appropriate resolution based on the type and extent of the damage. That may be a touch-up kit, an in-home repair by a finishing professional, a replacement part, or, when warranted, a full remake. Most minor damage, such as small scratches, dents, or finish blemishes, can be fully restored and does not require a remake.

Can I upgrade to White Glove Delivery?

White Glove Delivery is available as an optional upgrade for most eligible Brick Mill Furniture orders. Please contact our team as soon as possible if you would like to discuss upgrading your delivery service.
