Our team takes immense pride in the products we build. Which is why we promise: 

  1. In the event that your item(s) are not delivered in the correct species, size (considering a permissible variance of 0.25 inches), or style that you ordered, we will gladly replace them for you.
  2. If your item(s) arrive with damage that is documented on the delivery paperwork, we will assess the situation. Depending on our evaluation, we may choose to either repair or replace the damaged items, either partially or fully. You must contact us within 24 hours of delivery to report any damages.
  3. If your item(s) ever unnaturally cracks or splits, we’ll fix or replace it as indicated in our warranty.   

Our furniture is carefully crafted from authentic wood, showcasing distinct rustic characteristics that add to its charm. Before placing your order, we encourage you to review our cosmetic standards for a better understanding of our products.  

OUR COSMETIC STANDARDS

At Brick Mill Furniture, we take great pride in every unique piece of solid hardwood furniture that we handcraft. Our team hand-finishes each piece of Furniture, crafting it from solid hardwood, showcasing the authentic nature of real wood. Given that our products are truly handcrafted, natural variations and “imperfections” in the wood are to be expected and celebrated for the character they add! Just as every tree is unique, so too is every piece of furniture that is handcrafted just for you. Every piece of furniture will have a unique grain pattern, color variation, knots, etc., and may not appear to be exactly identical to the images displayed online. 

Other characteristics of handcrafted, solid wood furniture include knots, small holes, and cracks. All knots and holes are filled with epoxy. Any cracks in the product are filled with epoxy and stabilized with bowties (on the underside of the product) to mitigate the crack from growing in the future. Other characteristics can include, but are not limited to, distress marks, exposed hardware, wood filler marks, joint lines, and other minor imperfections. We allow up to .25 inches of variation across all measurements due to our furniture's custom, handcrafted nature.

Solid wood may expand and contract due to changes in temperature and humidity. This natural movement is very common with solid hardwood furniture. This movement does not affect the structural integrity and is not considered defective. While Brick Mill makes every attempt to provide the best photos of our finished pieces, each piece created is unique. With all of our products being handcrafted with solid lumber, no two pieces are exactly alike. The uniqueness of every piece of solid wood furniture that is built by our talented team should be celebrated for its one-of-a-kind nature.


SHIPPING

All Brick Mill Furniture products ship via FedEx, FedEx Freight, UPS, or another similar carrier. These carriers will deliver your item “Curbside” and cannot deliver the item inside your home or assemble the item. All items that ship via a ground carrier will arrive packaged If you require that the item be delivered inside your home and/or assembled, we do offer White Glove Delivery. White Glove Delivery does come at an upcharge based on the product, size, and delivery location. If you require White Glove Delivery, please contact us within two weeks of placing your order. If the White Glove Delivery fee is not paid by the time your order is complete, then the order will be delivered “Curbside” by a common carrier. 

By default, all Brick Mill Furniture beds will ship with White Glove Service and do not require an additional fee. If you would prefer that your bed ship via FedEx Freight “Curbside” please let us know within two weeks after purchase so the shipping method can be updated.

All shipping times are averages of the time products will spend in transit. All times listed below are ADDITIONAL to our “Production Lead Times” as outlined on the product page on our website, or otherwise quoted by one of our Sales Representatives. All transit times listed below vary based on the location of the delivery.

FedEx/UPS Ground: 2-8 days

FedEx Freight: 3-8 days

White Glove: 2-6 weeks


PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS  

Brick Mill makes every effort to display products on the site accurately. However, displayed colors may depend upon the quality of a user’s monitor, and Brick Mill cannot guarantee that a user’s monitor will accurately display the color of the products. In addition, no two boards of lumber are precisely alike. Every table is unique, and there is no way to make your product look EXACTLY like the display images. Brick Mill strongly recommends that you order a wood sample to offset any color variations that are not accurately displayed on your screen. Please note that our samples are a small section of lumber and show characteristics your product MAY include. If you have any specific requests regarding coloration or any other natural qualities of lumber, please contact us before placing your order so we can do our best to accommodate any special requests. If we are not contacted before an order is placed, we cannot guarantee that any special accommodations will be made.

STORAGE 

Brick Mill cannot “HOLD” a customer’s order once work has begun. Should the customer need an item completed at a specific time in the future, it is the customer's responsibility to divulge this information when placing the order. Brick Mill will make every attempt to complete the item as close to that date as possible; however, this cannot be guaranteed. Should a customer be unable to take delivery in the allotted time set forth by the delivery company, storage fees will be accrued at the customer’s expense until the items can be delivered. This is ultimately the customer’s responsibility, and this arrangement must be worked out with the delivery company. If the customer places an order that includes products that have differing production lead times, then Brick Mill will ship the products as they are completed. We will NOT “Hold” one part of an order in anticipation of a separate part of the order being built. For example, if the customer orders a dining table and chairs, and the chairs have a longer production lead time, then Brick Mill will ship your dining table when it is completed and subsequently ship the chairs when they are completed. 

WARRANTY COVERAGE

We guarantee the quality of our craftsmanship and materials for one year from the delivery date. If you discover a defect, contact us and we’ll evaluate the issue. If a warranty claim is being filed, the customer is required to send photos of the product to allow the Brick Mill team to assist in the most effective manner possible. If photos are not submitted, no warranty claims can be processed. Warranty claims will not be processed for any items that are specifically noted in our “Cosmetic Variations”. Brick Mill will supply the customer with a suitable replacement OR refund if a warranty claim is filed and valid. 

CARE REQUIREMENTS & EXCLUSIONS

This warranty is valid only when the piece is used for its intended purpose and cared for according to our guidelines. Because solid wood naturally expands and contracts, indoor humidity must be maintained between 30‑40 % year‑round (a humidifier may be required, especially in winter or dry climates). Cracks, warping (over .25 inches), or other movement caused by improper humidity, misuse, or abnormal wear are not covered. Normal wear, such as small dents or scratches, is also excluded, but we’re happy to advise on touch‑ups.

RETURNS

Standard, non‑custom items may be returned for a refund of the purchase price MINUS a 20 % restocking fee. For a return to be processed, the customer must inform Brick Mill within 48 hours of receiving the product by emailing sales@brickmillfurniture.com or by contacting your sales representative directly. The customer will receive a return authorization number to be noted on the returned package(s). The customer is responsible for ALL shipping costs associated with returning the product. For any refunds to be given, the product(s) must be returned to Brick Mill within 30 days of the product(s) being delivered.

CUSTOM ORDERS

Customized furniture is non‑returnable. If you cancel a custom order after work has begun, you will be billed for all completed labor, materials, and design time. 

A custom order includes any product or product variation that cannot be purchased directly from our website without consulting with one of our Sales Representatives. This includes, but is not limited to, custom designs, custom sizing, custom legs, custom edges profiles, custom finish, etc.


Abandonment. If no response is received from the customer, either to the delivery agent or to Brick Mill, within 45 days of a piece’s arrival at the local delivery agent, Brick Mill reserves the right to donate, dispose of, or otherwise discard the abandoned piece(s). Customers will not be refunded or compensated once their piece(s) are considered abandoned.

CANCELLATIONS

Any order cancelled within 48 hours of purchase will be refunded 100%. If an order is cancelled any time after the first 48 hours, cancellation fees apply. All cancellation fees are based on the products production lead time.
